Steve Miller
Founder
Steve brings more than 30 years of creative marketing experience to clients across the country. After years on both the agency and the client sides of marketing, Steve has created a niche that combines aspects of both disciplines to best serve the needs of his clients. He focuses on long-term brand building and increasing the value of his clients’ properties while executing results-driven tactical ads and promotions online.
Steve spent 12 years working on Madison Avenue directing creative work for a wide range of national and international clients. He has won national awards for traditional design and advertising as well as promotions design. His experience includes broadcast and print advertising, promotions, graphic design and direct mail. Clients included adidas, Air France, Coca-Cola Foods, Bristol-Myers, General Mills, National Distillers and McDonald’s.
In 1990, Steve became creative director for a boutique ad agency and marketing think tank in Denver. Clients included Candy’s, Coca-Cola USA, Nestea, G. Heileman Brewing Company, Gourmet Coffees of America, HoneyBaked Hams, Omnivest/Mr. Steak, TCBY and Taco John’s.
Steve was drafted by Brothers Gourmet Coffees to Florida as vice president of creative marketing to oversee both in-house and outside suppliers. His responsibilities included creation and direction of brand identities, new concept development and execution, packaging, point-of-purchase, promotions, direct response, broadcast and print advertising and related elements for wholesale, retail and franchise operations.
Steve moved back to Colorado in 1995 and successfully launched IdeaSource. He is a fifth generation Coloradan and holds a Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University.
Carol Miller
Client Services, Copywriter
Carol has a vast array of marketing experience and has worked on both the agency and client side throughout her marketing career. She is an accomplished advertising and marketing copywriter with specific expertise in creative conceptualization, implementation, relationship marketing, corporate and internal communications, project management and administration.
In addition to being the client services director and copywriter for IdeaSource and NetNewsdesk.com LLC, Carol was the lead copywriter with Frontier Airline’s award-winning advertising & marketing department. She crafted targeted brand voice messages for various assets, including website, email, social, print, radio, digital and outdoor media.
Having worked with Millennium Hotels and Resorts for over 16 years, this brand is part of Carol’s DNA. She fashions content for web, print and e-communications. There are few places in Millennium’s marketing folder that are void of Carol’s touch.
As the preferred freelance copywriter for Sage Hospitality, Carol worked to create and remodel copy for several properties. Projects have included Éilan Hotel & Spa San Antonio, JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek, and SpringHill Suites San Diego Oceanside/Downtown.
Warwick International Hotels relied on Carol for over a decade to assist with e-news and other branding promotions.
Before IdeaSource, Carol was the public relations and marketing manager for Rock Bottom Restaurants, the national restaurant/ brewery concept. She handled all aspects of national and local marketing efforts, from conception to implementation. She was responsible for public relations activities and served as company spokesperson. Her creative company-wide programs and targeted promotions realized goal-breaking results.
With ProSports Marketing in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Carol handled sponsorship packages for clients and properties, including Toshiba, Domino’s Pizza, Norwegian Cruise Line, Ryder Systems, Toyota, Super Bowl XXIX, Doral-Ryder Open, The Lipton Championships, GTE Byron Nelson Classic, The Miami Heat, The Florida Panthers and The University of Florida Gator’s Football.
During her time at Burson-Marsteller in both San Francisco and New York, Carol coordinated public relations and promotional efforts for clients such as Chevron USA, The Clorox Company, the California Milk Advisory Board, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Procter & Gamble, American Express, Perrier and Frank Sinatra.
Carol’s marketing experience also includes sporting goods retail, destination management and event design. She grew up in Denver, Colorado and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Lewis & Clark College.
